So fitting and fab we decided to use the Philadelphia Art Museum as our backdrop. A midst a bustling city, the Art Museum is a place of wonder, serenity, and beauty that makes you stop and inhale it’s sweetness. So fitting for this month! Whether walking the grounds or touring inside you feel something. You FEEL inspired. You feel the works of great artists consume you so you’re left walking out feeling a little lighter and closer to the conclusion that dreams are meant to be created and CAN come to life!
And because of this iconic inspiration oasis, right here in my home town, I couldn’t think of a better place to feature the Marshalls “Traveling Fab Bag”!
Gals get this, each blogger in Marshalls’ Project Fab was given this gorgeous Catherine Malandrino bag to style and take to famous landmarks in their city all over the country and show it a fashionably good time! You can follow it’s journey on Pinterest HERE!
For Philadelphia, Polished for Pennies brought this bag to the most artsy place in the city to play co-star as a neutral canvas to POPS of fun strokes of genius! Like a beautiful black blouse from Marshalls for under $20 that I knotted in the front to give it an artsy twist, and a high waisted Banana Republic cream skirt for under $20 too! You also can’t forget the cream vest from Marshalls for $29.99 that would make the perfect shoulder cover on a cool night or chilly walk through an exhibition even more chic and yet super cozy!
Then the piece de resistance, my Sophia Webster heels added a hand painted feel to my feets, that originally cost $650, but I treated myself to them for $199 at Nordstrom Rack!
All in all this look is Arsty, Fab, Philadelphia styled, and Polished for Pennies! A simple color palette, pieces of POP, and high quality goods on pennies will always steal the show and inspire you even more that life doesn’t have to be perfect it just has to be polished… AND… that the world is your canvas! PAINT ON ARTISTS! Xoxo
