Gal Pals… I have to literally DO my hair every single day. No seriously, like… DO IT. Curling iron, blow dryer, hair spray, hair protector, and more hair spray every single day for work. Which leaves me feeling pretty afterwards, but the initial act sometimes feels like an uphill climb where I’m already exhausted by the idea. So if you’re like me and the idea of doing your hair feels un-exciting, here’s a round up of a few of my favorite go to products that help make my hair hassle free! Some I start with at home and then some I carry in my work bag everyday!
First up Loreal’s heat protectant! It’s a spray I use after getting out of the shower to protect my ends from being destroyed by the daily curling iron use. It’s a cheap fix to fight frizz and damage. I will say try to use these when you’re skipping the usual conditioner routine as it will make your hair slightly oily if you put to much. I would also advise steering clear of your roots and stick to your ends where you usually apply your curling iron or straightener.
Which brings me to dry shampoo! It’s a must. NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS it’s the best tool I have to save from hair from sloppy to sass in a few sprays of its powdery mist! I prefer Not Your Mother’s Dry Shampoo in unscented or warm sugar!
And finally a GOOD hairspray. This is where the investment comes in. Treseme works great in the number 3 hold, but personally I enjoy Elnett! It’s light mist isn’t wet and it’s hold isn’t tacky. It’s a little on the pricier side but the results are there, and for me it’s worth every penny!
Hair can be tricky, with that said, these work great on my hair but you need to figure out what works for you! I have thin, combination, slightly wavy hair and so far these are my standout favorites! With the addition of using Clear Total Care shampoo and Conditioner, these never steer me wrong!
But the best way to get great hair is to experiemtn with what works and what doesn’t. A good shampoo makes a difference. A protectant is a must in my opinion, and a great hairspray is a savior!
For all my Gal Pals out there great hair takes a little work, and while many can say “i woke up like this” I know I can’t! lol But with the right tools and some confidence you can tackle your hair everyday with ease!
