Sometimes it’s so hard, like really freaking hard, to pace ourselves. I’ll speak for myself here. Sometimes it’s really freaking hard to pace myself. To relax and enjoy the flow of life without concerning myself so much on the destination. The final picture. The end goals… is really hard! I mean, It’s great to have goals and a big picture plan, but sometimes I forget that it takes time to build that plan and then even longer to paint it to life. It takes time to find your true colors through growing pains. To build your set of brushes from every fall you’ve swept yourself up from. It takes time to be great, to find your way, to create great art. Look at the Sistine Chapel… it took between 1508 and 1512 for Michaelangelo to paint such beauty! Things take time and the best things are worth that wait. We need to remember that. We need to value our time and not rush it. We need to enjoy the process. We need to look at the journey to our goals as tiny daily strokes of greatness that are painting our greatest work of art. That are making us a work of art! We need to remember that every great artist was once an amateur. Was once learning. Was once challenged. Was once pulled down. Was once in a hurry. Was once feeling like time was running out. Was once feeling that being an amateur wasn’t the greatest place to be at the time, but really was exactly the place to be at that time.
So take it easy on yourself. Learn the strokes of life, follow it the best you can. Splatter your world in bright color! Find the BRIGHT SPOTS, the INSPIRATION, and keep painting! You’re growing. You’re growing into your greatness keep going! Look at what you could paint!
